Whether you know it or not, everyone deep inside of them has a little bit of an artistic ability that can really shine through when you put some time and effort into something. Today we are going to talk about how you can make money with a disposable camera. Businesses are looking for professional photographs of their store to use for advertising and display. Today, we are going to teach you how to take advantage of that need.
Taking Pictures
- Go down to your local shopping center
- Find small local business’s (Franchises have professional photographers)
- Take 10-20 pictures of each business
- Avoid business’s with cars, trees, or distractions obstructing store front
Developing the Picture
- Find the best picture of each business and print them out
- Enlarge the Photo to a 8 1/2 X 11
- Glue photo to poster board with 1/2 inch trim
Approaching the Business
- Use the following Scripts: “Hi. My name is (Fill in name) and I am an aspiring photographer. I recently took a picture of your business and was wondering if you were possibly interested in purchasing it. I went to the time to get it developed and enlarged. I could also provide digital formats if needed. Would you be interested?”
How Much To Ask
- This is one of the hardest questions to answer. Depending on where you live, and the size of the business, anywhere from $10-75 is a reasonable asking price for the photograph. Almost all business’s will give you something for the photograph. Whether it is $50, or a free sandwich, take what you can get.
Now go show off your artistic talent!
