The most common question I get asked when people learn that I make money online is “Do you make your money on eBay?”. Well, eBay was how I got involved in the online industry, and I still have it in me if I really wanted to again. But today I am going to pass my knowledge onto you on how you can be successful on eBay.
Today, we are going to be talking about three different ways you can make money on eBay. There are two different types of people that are willing to get involved into the eBay business: Ones with capital, and ones without. Today, we are going to show you how you can conduct business on eBay depending on which one of those individuals you are.
1. Drop Shipping - Without Investment
One of the common things that people are worried about when getting involved in online is how much am I going to have to invest. Dropshipping is a business in which you sell products, then pay a retailer to send a product directly to a client without having to pay a dime upfront until you get an order.
There are many different dropshipping sites out there today but there is one specifically that I reccommend all the time. Doba.com is a retailer that links you to hundreds of thousands of products online and ships them directly to your client without you acting as the middle man in shipping.
Doba is a great alternative if you don’t have an investment to upfront. This is a great way to start selling on eBay with an easy to use program that is truly incredible.
2. Selling Items from Resale Shops - Minimal Investment
One of the great ways to start making money on eBay with truly just a minimal investment is buying this at resale shops, garage sales, or Goodwill and reselling them on eBay for some truly amazing profits.
You can find some great tips on this thread which explains how you can find gems in resale shops and sell them for 100X what you bought them for.
3. Wholesale - With Investment
This is a great way for advanced eBay Powersellers, or people who have an investment to upfront to make some serious cash on eBay. A great way to compare eBay wholesale to the real world is Sams Club or Costco. I’m sorry in advanced to dissapoint you all, but a lot of restuarants buy there food from Sams Club or Costco. At a wholesale store, they can buy food at a fraction of the price they can buy at a grocery store, and mark it up 400%-500% with you the consumer not thinking twice about it.
You are going to do the same exact thing with your eBay business. You buy products in bulk with a large investment, but then mark up your products a ton, and sell and make a huge product. There is a risk in this though. Many people buy wholesale before truly looking into the product they are buying. If your products don’t sell at the price you expect them to sell, you can lose a ton of money just like any investment.
In conclusion, making money on eBay is a great way for someone to get involved in the online industry and have what I like to call a plan B. This lets you earn some side money while you are still working but eventually can turn into your plan A at which you go full time at.
